We’ve been trying to get tickets to the Olympics since 2020; first with Tokyo and then again for Paris in 2024. For Tokyo, we were completely unsuccessful. For Paris, we were drawn after a few rounds, but the events we wanted had already been claimed. So now here we are, just two years out from the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, and it’s time to try again!
Here’s what we know so far about snagging Los Angeles Olympics tickets and best of luck if you also decide to enter the lottery:
Los Angeles Olympics: Official Information
The Los Angeles Olympics will take place from July 14–30, 2028. You’ll want to bookmark the official website of the Olympics for the latest news and venue information. The official site usually offers tickets, but they don’t go on sale until much closer to the Games so inventory will probably be limited.
Of note, events for the Los Angeles Olympics will take place across LA and southern California, as well as Oklahoma City (softball and canoe slalom).
Los Angeles Olympics: Ticket Information
Registration & Ticket Draw Information
If you’re hoping to snag tickets for the Los Angeles Olympics, you’ll need to first register for the draw. The registration period opened on January 14. Don’t delay: the deadline to enter the ticket draw is March 18, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PST.

Unlike the Paris Olympics draw, you do not need to choose between a pack of tickets or single game tickets. You just fill out your basic information and you can bookmark favorite sports, if you’d like.
Ticket Draw Assignment & Ticket Drop Time Slots

After you’ve registered for the Los Angeles Olympics ticket draw, it’s wait and see. Keep an eye on your email from March 31-April 7 when you’ll be notified whether you’ve received a time slot for purchasing tickets. The first drop will run from April 9-19 and each time slot will be open for 48 hours.
Tip for LA & OKC locals: Presale will run from April 2-6 for eligible fans in the Greater Los Angeles and Oklahoma City regions with seats starting at $28. Learn more here.
Los Angeles Olympics: Other Important Information
Here’s a few other details you might be wondering about. Have more questions? Check out the Los Angeles Olympics FAQ.
- Ticket Prices: We haven’t seen anything yet about pricing for specific events but it was announced 1 million tickets will be $28 (I believe all of those will be for the locals presale), and roughly one-third of all tickets will be under $100. If it’s like past Olympics, there will be tiered pricing for each event/seating area.
- Competition Schedule: We recommend planning out your ideal schedule of events before the ticket purchasing window opens so you’re ready to go! Check out the schedule of events here. There are a few other schedules on the official Olympics website but I thought this one was easiest to navigate.
- Ticket Limits: You will be able to purchase up to 12 tickets across all Olympic ticket drops. The max number of tickets may vary for certain sports. This limit does not apply to hospitality packages or products.
- Ticket Resale: There will be an official secondary market announced at a later time.
And that’s what we know so far about snagging Los Angeles Olympics tickets. Best of luck if you also decide to enter the lottery and we’d love to hear how it goes for you!
